La Source started with a simple idea: something you reach for every day can do more.
Our Story
Jenny Muleka was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. After war displaced her family, they rebuilt their lives in the United States.Years later, Jenny returned to Congo and saw firsthand how limited access to clean water was still shaping everyday life. In many places, the water was there, but the infrastructure needed to reach it safely wasn't.
That experience stayed with her. La Source was created as a way to turn something simple and everyday into something that could help change that reality.
What started with water became a way to create access.
Water is essential.
Access to it should be too.
Today, the focus is building wells and expanding access to clean water in Congo.
From there, the vision extends into infrastructure and community development, first in Congo, and eventually across Africa. Donate
